And if you haven't read this talk yet by Sister Julie B. Beck, now is a great time to read it.
A few years back I went through the whole "what is my mission?" questioning phase, wondering if I could ever be more than "just a mom." I wonder if all mothers need to go through something like that. I'm happy to say that the answer came that I was (and am) fulfilling my mission every single day of my life. Ever since I was a little girl I've wanted to be a mother of many children. In high school I was given a silly "award": Julia F...Most likely to marry a Mormon, move to a cattle ranch in Montana and have more children than cattle. I'm not in Montana, nor do I live on a ranch. But I am happy to say I have more children than cattle! :-) I just hope that I will continue to live my mission to the fullest, that my children will see my joy in being their mother and that I can do my best despite all my many weaknesses! :-)
And those kids are great! What a fun award. Being a mother is good. =)
